Women's Golf Makes History with 3C2A State Championship Qualification

VENTURA, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College women's golf team has raised the bar once more for the program after a historic performance at the Southern California Regional Championship, hosted at the Olivas Links Golf Course. | FULL RESULTS

The Bulldogs finished the two-day event in fifth place overall after carding a four-player score of 723, clinching the program's first-ever team appearance at the state event. Orange Coast College finished atop the team standings with a final score of 638, followed by Mt. San Antonio College (647), College of the Canyons (676), and Santa Barbara City College (699).

Zan McGovern led the way for Hancock after landing in a three-way tie for seventh out of 54 individual competitors after tallying 159 strokes. Ally Price and Brooke Montano followed with a pair of top-30 finishes. Price landed at 26th with a score of 183, while Montano tied for 28th after accumulating 189 strokes. 

The team will prepare for their appearance at the 3C2A Women's Golf State Championships, which will take place at Alisal Ranch (River Course) on November 16-17.
