Softball Places Six on All-Conference List
SACRAMENTO, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College program had six student-athletes named as all-conference selections for the northern division of the Western State Conference at the conclusion of the regular season.
Addy Creath headlined the group with First Team All-Conference recognition. The freshman from Arroyo Grande registered a .379 batting average after recording 39 hits and 38 RBIs throughout her first collegiate campaign. Creath recorded 10 doubles, five triples, and eight homeruns en route to a .806 slugging percentage.
Isabel Sanchez followed with a Second Team All-Conference nod. The sophomore catcher closed out the season with a .387 batting average, highlighted by 10 doubles on 36 hits and 22 RBIs. Sanchez notched 152 putouts and 26 assists behind the plate while catching 14 runners attempting to steal.
Dezirae Rodriguez, Tori Salazar, Ciena Acosta, and Cali Gamble rounded out the Hancock representatives as Honorable Mention selections. Rodriguez and Salazar both received the same award as freshmen last season.
The Bulldogs ended the season with an overall record of 9-26 and a 3-9 mark against WSC foes for a sixth place ranking in the league standings.
