Lady Bulldogs Cruise Past Santa Monica 10-3 on Sophomore Day
Santa Maria, Calif. — The Allan Hancock College softball team made Sophomore Day one to remember Saturday, scoring 10 runs on nine hits to defeat Santa Monica 10-3 on April 16 at home. | BOX SCORE
The Bulldogs broke the game open with four runs in the fifth and four more in the sixth, turning a tight early contest into a decisive wire-to-wire win. Allan Hancock finished with 10 RBI as a team, spreading the production up and down the lineup.
Rianna Dulay led the way with two hits and two RBI, while Cali Gamble added two RBI out of the nine-hole. Addy Creath and Arianna Botello each knocked in a run and contributed doubles. Tori Salazar, Isabel Sanchez, Havanah Michel, Lysette Galindo, and Vivianne Goss each drove in a run as well, with Goss delivering as a pinch hitter.
In the circle, Michel worked four innings before Ciena Acosta closed it out with three shutout frames, surrendering no hits and striking out three to earn the win and improve to 1-0.
Allan Hancock closes out the regular season Tuesday, April 21, at Ventura in their final game of the year.
