SANTA MARIA, Calif. — The Allan Hancock College men's soccer team outshot the visitors from LA Pierce College by three and generated a flurry of second half opportunities, but a goal moments before the break stood up as the difference in a 1–0 setback on Tuesday afternoon at the AHC Soccer Field. | BOX SCORE
After a fairly even first half, the Brahmas (4-8-1, 4-2-2) snuck one shot through in the 45th minute for the game's lone goal. The Bulldogs (4-7-5, 0-3-1) carved out early looks after Juan Zarate forced a save in the 2nd minute and Caleb Toledo tested the keeper throughout. The home squad saw three solid tries get denied on frame in the second half, including Toledo's header in the 72nd and a shot by Robet Torres in the 81st.
Both teams placed four attempts on-goal and notched four strikes from the corner, with the Bulldogs holding a 9-6 advantage on total shots. Max Brewster served the full 90 in the box for AHC with three saves to his stat line at the end.
Up next for the Bulldogs is a road trip to Moorpark College on Friday, October 24th, at 4 PM.
