Men's Soccer Tops LA Harbor at Home, 2-0

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College men's soccer team turned in a strong all-around performance Friday afternoon, earning a 2–0 shutout victory over LA Harbor College in a non-conference contest at home. | BOX SCORE

The Bulldogs (4-3-4) struck once in each half and controlled play defensively to post their fourth win of the season. The home squad broke through midway through the opening frame when Bryan Vargas found the back of the net in the 26th minute to give AHC a 1–0 advantage. Hancock's defense limited the visiting Seahawks (3-5-2) to just a handful of first-half chances while goalkeeper Max Brewster came up big with a pair of saves to preserve the lead going into the break.

Hancock doubled the deficit late in the match as Jose Moreno scored in the 81st minute, assisted by Caleb Toledo, to seal the 2–0 result. Brewster completed the clean sheet with four total saves, while the Bulldogs' back line continued to frustrate LA Harbor's attack throughout the second period. 

The Bulldogs are set to host Bakersfield College on Tuesday, October 7th, at 2 PM on the AHC Soccer Field for the final non-conference match of the season.
