MENS SOCCER SHUTOUT AT HOME

SANTA MARIA - The Allan Hancock College men's soccer team lost a Western State Conference match to L.A. Mission College of Sylmar, 3-0 today on the campus field.

Hancock (1-6-1, 0-2-1) did not have many solid scoring opportunities until near the end of the game, when Joe Blandford (Fr., Atascadero HS) attempted a penalty kick in the 89th minute. He missed wide to the right.

L.A. Mission scored twice in the first half. In the 20th minute, Mission scored on a corner kick and followed with the second in the 40th minute. They scored fifteen minutes into the second half for the final tally.

The Bulldogs will travel to Moorpark on Friday, September 24 at 4:00 p.m. to face the Raiders before returning home to face Oxnard on Friday, October 1 at 4:00 p.m.
