Bio
John Wood enters his first season at the helm of the men's golf program in 2026 after previously serving as a volunteer assistant coach in the 2025 campaign.
Wood grew up in the talented golf-rich town of Stillwater, Oklahoma. The third-generation golfer received instruction from his dad and then from Legendary Oklahoma State University coaches Labron Harris and Mike Holder.
The Midwest native served as a member of the Oklahoma State University golf team for two seasons in the early 80s before transferring to compete at Lipscomb University in Nashville. Along with his coaching and playing history, Wood brings a rich background filled with several years of student success coaching/advising, counseling, mental health services, and work as an adjunct professor.
