Moorpark
SANTA MARIA, Calif - The Allan Hancock College baseball team put together a dominant weekend, sweeping Moorpark College in a three-game series behind strong pitching performances and a powerful offensive attack.
Game 1 – Hancock 2, Moorpark 1 | BOX SCORE
The Bulldogs opened the series with a tight 2-1 victory behind a strong start from Gustavo Crawford. Crawford tossed 6.1 innings, allowing just one earned run on four hits while keeping the Raiders off balance. He did not factor into the decision.
Parker Schwake provided the offensive spark, going 2-for-2 with both Bulldog RBIs. La'akea Ko and Josue Garcia each added two hits to help pace the offense.
Out of the bullpen, Gage Mattis earned the win while Hunter Beck closed the door with two clean innings, striking out three to record his third save of the season.
Game 2 – Hancock 11, Moorpark 3 | BOX SCORE
The Bulldogs broke things open in game two with a big offensive performance. Ryan Cronk earned his sixth win of the season after tossing six shutout innings, striking out seven while scattering six hits.
Hancock's offense tallied five extra-base hits on the day, highlighted by Josue Garcia's three-run home run. Jacob McMillan added three hits including a double, while Chase Wise chipped in with a hit and two RBIs.
Game 3 – Hancock 12, Moorpark 5 | BOX SCORE
The Bulldog offense stayed hot in the series finale as Hancock banged out 14 hits in a 12-5 victory. Parker Schwake and Jacob McMillan each collected three hits, both adding doubles. McMillan drove in three runs while Schwake added two RBIs.Trent Martin also had a strong day at the plate with two hits and two RBIs to help power the Bulldog lineup.
The Bulldogs return to action Tuesday when they host Cuesta College at John Osborne Field, with first pitch scheduled for 3:00 PM.
