NEXT LEVEL: Jaiden Turner Commits to CSUN
NORTHRIDGE, Calif. - Allan Hancock College pitcher, Jaiden Turner, will continue his athletic and academic career at California State University -Northridge (CSUN) next season.
"When the recruiting process started, CSUN was one of the first Division I programs to offer me. I love the way the team is run by the coaching staff there, and I knew I would be able to go there and play," Turner shared.
Turner wrapped up his second season on the mound for the Bulldogs in the spring. The righty from Montana was chosen as a Second Team All-Conference honoree this season, a step up from his Honorable Mention nod that came through at the conclusion of his freshman campaign. Turner closed out his sophomore season with a final tally of six wins while starting in 12 contests, which included two complete games and as many shutouts. He struck out a total of 81 batters (9.55/game) while working towards an ERA of 3.42 after tossing 76.1 innings.
"My time at AHC was a learning experience, both in the classroom and on the field," Turner added. "I learned a lot about myself while being here and about the type of person I am."
The Matadors are a Division I member of the NCAA and compete in the Big West Conference.
