NEXT LEVEL: Liam Taft Heading to Mid-America Christian University
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - Allan Hancock College pitcher, Liam Taft, has announced his commitment to Mid-America Christian University for the upcoming season.
"I chose MACU because I feel like it is a great place for me to continue developing, while playing high-level baseball, and to continue my education on both the academic and spiritual levels," Taft stated.
The Bakersfield High School product completed his second season in a Bulldogs uniform this spring. He earned four starts and several relief opportunities after appearing in 13 contests, with one win and one save on his record. Taft struck out 25 batters during his sophomore campaign after 34.1 innings of work with a final 1.66 WHIP tally.
"Coach Stevens and the program here at Allan Hancock really helped me learn how to deal with adversity and overcome the obstacles I'll face in the future, both on the field and in life," Taft added.
The Evangels are a member of the NAIA and compete in the Sooner Athletic Conference.
