Hancock Partners with Amazon to Support Athletics Department

There is now a way to shop online and help Bulldog athletics at the same time. The Allan Hancock College Athletics Department has partnered with AmazonSmile, a website operated by Amazon that offers a simple way to support the Bulldogs every time a person shops, at no additional cost to the consumer.

When people shop at smile.amazon.com, they will find the same prices, selection and convenient shopping as on Amazon.com. The only difference is the Bulldog athletic department's boosters club, Hancock College Boosters, Inc., receives 0.5 percent of the purchase price. The AmazonSmile Foundation sends checks to its registered charitable organizations every three months. There is no limit to the amount the foundation will give to a charity.

"This partnership is a great way for our friends and supporters to contribute because every little bit will help our student-athletes," said Hancock Athletic Director Kim Ensing. "The Boosters organization already helps bridge the gap between our department's budget and our needs. This will further the Boosters' cause."

A new link to AmazonSmile appears on the official Hancock Athletics homepage. If you click on the icon Support Your Bulldogs by Shopping on Amazon, you will be directed to Hancock's AmazonSmile page. You can also select Hancock College Boosters, Inc. from a list of public charitable organizations when you login to smile.amazon.com. Shoppers use the same account on Amazon and AmazonSmile.
